KUALA LUMPUR: The budget allocation of three ministries, Works, Transport and Science, Technology and Innovation, passed through the commission stage yesterday.

The budget of the Ministry of Public Works was approved by voice vote, with 109 deputies supporting it, 94 against and 17 absent.

Anthony Loke (PH-Seremban) called for a block vote after Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong refused to answer his question on the review of the government’s decision to withdraw the cancellation of the cabotage exemption. for submarine cable maintenance work.

The budget of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation was also approved by voice vote at the committee level.

This means that there are five budgets approved with block voting so far and eight with votes by voice at the committee stage.
