First introduced to the world last month alongside the fourth generation Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE and iPad Pro, the new eighth generation iPad is now available for purchase in Malaysia. The new model offers improvements in terms of performance through the new A12 Bionic processor.

Apple claimed that the chip provides up to 40 percent more processing power for the tablet along with twice the graphics capacity of the seventh-generation iPad. A12 Bionic also marked the arrival of the Neural Engine to the iPad lineup, which enables enhanced augmented reality, photo editing and the Siri experience.
Other than that, there are very few differences between the eighth-gen model and its predecessor. The new iPad still has a 10.2-inch Retina display, an 8 MP rear camera, and a 1.2 MP FaceTime HD camera, plus first-generation Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard support.
Interestingly, the 8th-gen iPad has the same introductory price as the 7th-gen iPad when it launched in Malaysia last year. You can get the 32GB variant of the 8th Gen iPad Wi-Fi for 1449 RM while the 128GB option goes for RM 1,849. As for the equivalent 4G models, they are priced at 1,999 RM Y 2,399 RM respectively.
