KUALA LUMPUR: PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be called to Bukit Aman on Friday (October 16).

Bukit Aman CID Director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the Port Dickson deputy should give his statement to the CID Special Investigation Unit.

“We are investigating the dissemination of a list of 121 MPs who allegedly support him (Anwar). We received 113 police reports on the matter,” he said in a statement on Thursday (October 14).

The case is classified under Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Law, he added.

He urged the public not to release any statement that could cause discord and disturb public safety.

Anwar was initially asked to go to Bukit Aman, the headquarters of the federal police, on Monday (October 11), but the meeting was postponed.

The PKR president also had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Tuesday (October 13), where he was supposed to have presented evidence that he had the support of the majority of the deputies in the Dewan Rakyat.

In a statement the same day, Istana Negara said Anwar presented the number of people who he said supported him, but did not provide a list of names.
