KUALA PILAH: Another highway project between the east and west coasts is being planned not only to reduce traffic congestion but also to open another economic corridor.
The alternative road, between Seremban in Negeri Sembilan and Kemayan in Pahang, will also shorten travel time, said Deputy Minister of Public Works Eddin Syazlee Shith.
“I hope this project will continue because it will also promote tourism and develop the local economy,” he told reporters here after the delivery of 15 units of KipleLive artificial intelligence (AI) thermal scanners by Green Packet Bhd.
According to Eddin, who is also a deputy from Kuala Pilah, Sultan Yang di-Pertuan Agong Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah was briefed on the project, while he was still the regent of Pahang, and welcomed it.
The AI heat scanners will be installed at various locations in Kuala Pilah, including Istana Seri Menanti and the Kuala Pilah district and land office.
