Another Bersatu leader showing off his ‘ketuanan’ colors

YOUR OPINION The | “Is there any hope for this country with leaders like these?”

Wan Saiful to Tajuddin: Where to put Zahid if Muhyiddin returns to Umno?

David Dass: The extreme flexibility of the minds of thinkers like the leader of Bersatu Wan Saiful Wan Jan is truly extraordinary. He is able to hold truths or conflicting positions in his mind without shame or shame. And will articulate them to the appropriate audience as appropriate.

Those who know him are impressed with a person of such vision and principle. He is a man with a silver tongue. He appears to have found a mentor and soulmate in former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

Yes, there were those, such as DAP leaders P Ramasamy and Ronnie Liu, who broke the ranks of Pakatan Harapan by openly attacking their supreme leader.

Some like us also feel that their interests would have been better served if they articulated their problems with their leadership behind closed doors.

But they, like many of us, were confused. They feel some conflict of principle. Some contradiction between the action and the promised promises.

Unfortunately, everything was made very clear during the Malaysian Dignity Congress when Mahathir declared his position: that he was forced to compromise the interests of the Malays with people who became unskilled citizens because the Malays were weak and divided.

In the end, the plot ends once and for all with the issue of PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim’s succession and the strong presence of DAP for his failed attempt to form the unity government he envisioned.

It caused the collapse of the Harapan government, not the dissenting voices within Harapan. Everyone trusted Mahathir even though his past actions and expressions were so clear.

The non-Malays who supported Harapan never opposed Malaysian unity. They opposed injustice, injustice, and wrongdoing. They supported democracy and the reform of democratic institutions with a view to strengthening them.

They supported a disciplined and professional police force, a highly competent civil service, and an independent judiciary to maintain the balance between the state and citizens and to uphold the rule of law.

It did not matter that most of these institutions were Malays. It would have been good for the nation and good for the people. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

They pursued Malaysian unity, even if it meant betraying the principles and promises made and the exclusion of non-Malays from the government.

New day: Wan Saiful, in your early days as part of the Harapan coalition, you showed many promises, then it all went downhill.

Payments from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) are on the rise, supporting Perikatan Nasional (PN) and now further declining by attacking Penang’s deputy chief minister, P. Ramasamy. For what? Speaking of controversial topics, you say.

Someone has to pose the “hard to bear” problems, otherwise how do you progress? You are just another failed academic who is only interested in the political obsession of staying in power regardless of the cost of morals and ethics.

Anonymous122277: This is typical of a Malaysian politician like Wan Saiful. He still has the deep-seated mindset of Malay First and Malay Second.

This outdated mindset will never move Malaysia forward, as evidenced by the more than 60 years of Umno-dominated (read: Malay) rule with no inspiring results to shout about.

It is time for all politicians to take different political approaches to make Malaysia a nation that all Malaysians can be proud of.

Mortality: Wan Saiful, you are blaming everyone for the collapse of the Harapan government, except yourself.

Make no mistake about it, any objective historian will point to the resignation of the naked emperor that led to the removal of the Harapan government. It is with the group of frogs from Bersatu and PKR that the back door government is done.

Where to put Umno President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (if Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin joins Umno)? Wrong question.

It is Muhyiddin and the frogs who will have to worry about his position in Umno.

One: It is not disputed that what brought down the Harapan government was Bersatu, including Mahathir.

As a party, you don’t have a different philosophy. You are just a copy of Umno. That becomes even clearer when you don’t dispute the ability to join Umno on principle, but rather because of the fact that Zahid is still there and he needs a job.

How pitiful Bersatu looks.

Karma: In addition to the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Saifuddin Abdullah, Wan Saiful was whom we also used to love. One by one, these people who fought against Umno and became champions of Harapan betrayed us.

We were all saddened by all who worked with Umno to destroy the Harapan government. And stop blaming the party that allowed freedom of expression. Blame yourself for being greedy.

RKR: Recently, the head of Negeri Sembilan Bersatu, Rais Yatim, tweeted that Rohingyas are emboldened ask for equal rights due to their increasing number in Malaysia, as do non-Malays.

He suggested that non-Malays never spoke of their rights before independence due to their fewer numbers.

Is there any hope for this country with leaders like these?

Anonymous_1587811123147.90651587810205590: I am really disappointed with Wan Saiful.

He was president of the Institute of Democracy and Economic Affairs (Ideas) not long ago. I thought he was a good man. Who can guess that it has become like this? Very sad indeed.

Blue Mountains: Never judge a book by its cover. Many of Umno / Bersatu / PAS are appointed to some posts after they begin to criticize the PN government or express controversial issues.

They have to make some noise for their big boss to notice.
