KUALA LUMPUR: Ampang Jaya Police Station has suspended all operations related to the public from today until March 1, after 11 policemen tested positive for Covid-19.
Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, ACP, Mohamad Farouk Eshak, said that several members of the police station and civilian staff had been placed under home quarantine following the detection of Covid-19 cases.
He said that those who have police business to attend to can go to the Hulu Klang, Malawati, Pandan Indah, Ukay Perdana and Pandan Perdana police stations.
“Things like filing police reports and requesting permission for interdistrict or interstate travel can be done at nearby police stations. Let us pray for the health and speedy recovery of the first infected with Covid-19, ”he said. Called when we contact you today.
He said affected police personnel were believed to have been infected by several detainees who tested positive for Covid-19.
