Ahmad Badri is new President of EPF, replacing Samsudin Osman

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employee Provident Fund (EPF) announced the appointment of Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Zahir as its new president as of May 1.

Ahmad Badri, 60, is replacing long-time president Tan Sri Samsudin Osman, who is retiring.

Samsudin, 72, has been President of EPF since February 2007.

Ahmad Badri was, until recently, the Secretary General of the Treasury in the Ministry of Finance, where he worked for almost 30 years.

He has been a member of the EPF Investment Panel since 2014 and has extensive experience in the fields of strategic investment, loan management, the financial market and actuarial science.

“The EPF is privileged to receive such a distinguished and experienced president who is more than qualified to guide us through these tumultuous times,” EPF chief Alizakri Alias ​​said in a statement today.

“We are confident that with his capable leadership, the EPF will reach new levels of excellence and customer service for our members.” Meanwhile, Alizakri thanked Samsudin for leading EPF to become one of the most respected organizations in the region.
