KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Hwang Capital has appointed Mona Suraya Kamaruddin as Group CEO, effective today.
Mona brings her 29 years of experience in the capital markets, specializing in Malaysian equities, including nearly nine years in equity research and 20 years in equity sales.
Prior to joining Affin Hwang Capital, Mona was Managing Director and Managing Director of Nomura Securities Malaysia. Prior to joining Nomura, Mona was Vice President of Institutional Sales at JPMorgan Securities Malaysia.
He began his career in the capital markets in 1991 as an investment analyst at various financial institutions including Arab Malaysia Securities, Standard Chartered Securities Malaysia, and Crosby Securities Malaysia. She also served as Head of Investigation at MGI Securities Malaysia.
