Trump and Melania test positive for Covid-19
ScarletHamster1885: It’s difficult to generate sympathy for US President Donald Trump and his administration for doing next to nothing to contain the virus.
Making fun of people who wear masks, criticizing states that refuse to open businesses even when there is an increase in Covid-19 cases, opening educational institutions without clear guidelines on how to do it, and so on.
He is an irresponsible leader who put the lives of his people at risk. And don’t get me started on all the outrageous suggestions from this “steady genius.”
They include their recommendations on the use of hydroxychloroquine even though there is no strong evidence that it is effective and inject a “disinfecting substance” into the body …
Heron: Unless this is yet another of Trump’s reckless and false election propaganda, you surely need good medical care considering your age, lifestyle, and so on.
Despite our misgivings about you, we would like to wish you a good recovery.
On another note, it would seem strange to think that since he defied the gods by flying higher and higher with wings of wax, he now faces the melting of his wings.

There is a dividing line between criticizing and wanting people to do harm for something unfortunate that they have no power to avoid.
Me: @The Wakandan, yes, we have to be understanding and compassionate in this situation. But humans as we are, we remember Trump’s recalcitrant attitude toward medical science in dealing with Covid-19.
How he treated his advisers with disdain. How, perhaps, because of him, many may have perished or are still fighting Covid-19.
Yes, we can also say, those souls had to leave. Then we might as well throw caution to the wind and move on.

Parents: Perhaps now the far-right group Proud Boys and all those who followed the ‘Pied Piper of the United States’ will shed that disdainful and arrogant attitude towards Covid-19.
Hopefully this will also end the demonization of physician and immunologist Dr. Anthony Fauci and all others who have called for vigilance, prudence and compassion.

The way home: It defeats one’s imagination to realize that there is such virulent hatred and grudge towards Trump, particularly when he and his wife, Melania, have tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 virus infection.
Malaysians have been widely recognized and clearly applauded for their kindness and gentle behavior, even towards mere strangers during interactions.
That is why it is considered totally out of character towards our Malaysian values with human kindness when there is so much condemnation and vile hatred from commentators who wish you the worst, particularly when you are unfortunate enough to be a victim of the virus.
Our inherent value of Malaysia should reinforce our determination to conduct ourselves with the desired dignity and respect, which has been well recognized everywhere as our core value despite differences in our political ideals and loyalty.
Vijay47: To you, President Donald Trump, as I would to anyone in ill health or personal tragedy, let me wish you, your wife, and the rest of the world a speedy recovery.
