The National Youth Association (PN) files a police report against the controversial Malay artist, Namewee, on the sensitive language used in a poster for his latest independent film titled, Pork.
PN Youth considers the words used on the film’s poster to be an insult and they fear that they may provoke racial tensions in Malaysia.
They are also calling on the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to block any material related to the film from accessing the Internet to Malaysians.
Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, recently took to social media to share the news that Babi received nominations at four international film festivals.
The film is summarized to depict racial tensions and real-life violence in Malaysian schools.

A close look at one of the film’s posters reveals derogatory and racially charged terms “Melayu Bodoh,” “India Keling,” and “Cina Babi” written in graffiti on the walls of a bathroom urinal.
The film is scheduled to hit international theaters on November 20, 2020 and is apparently banned from showing in Malaysia.
