KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth of the Perikatan Nasional Federal Territory (PN) today filed a police report against rapper and actor Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, for his latest movie poster that they claim touches on racial sensitivities.

The police report was made by Federal Territory PN Youth Information Unit member Mohammad Azwan Azmi at the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters here this morning.

Azwan said the police report was made as a poster for his new film, “Babi,” which contains the words “Melayu Bodoh,” “India Keling,” and “Cina Babi.”

“This insult and provocation is seen as outrageous and is a rude and insolent act. We fear that it may cause interracial tension in Malaysia, ”he told reporters after making the police report.

He said his party had also asked the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to block Malaysians from accessing content related to the film through Namewee’s Facebook, Youtube and Instagram accounts.
