Gamers Hideout Releases Statement On PlayStation 5 PWP Pre-Order Packs

It’s been almost a week since Gamers Hideout (GH) came into the spotlight for their decision to sell their Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) console units with just a purchase-to-purchase (PWP) bundle. Today, the video game retail store is finally ready to tackle the problem.

Based on the company’s official statement to the masses on Facebook, the company seems to acknowledge that its PS5 PWP bundle program has proven to be wildly unpopular, especially for gamers who simply want to buy only consoles. To that end, he says that he will contact customers who participated in the PWP package to “reset” their purchases to a level that is comfortable for them.

It is worth noting that GH’s use of “reset” is quite broad and at no point in the statement did the company specify how flexible the reset will be or if there really is a limit to what it intends to reimburse the customer. However, we are pretty sure that if there is a purchase package that they will choose to remove, it will probably be the Mystery Game package that GH forced them to add for RM400.

That being said, if GH is truly sorry for his action, the most honest reflection of his actions would be giving consumers the option to buy the console alone, without any of the add-ons.

As for why GH suddenly took a penitent stance on its PS5 PWP bundle, it’s probably due to a personal Facebook message from Sony Malaysia circulating online. The personal message says that the brand was prepared to take “necessary action” against distributors who took advantage of the PS5 pre-order, but did not elaborate. However, we recommend that you analyze Sony’s supposed response, as no one really knows who circulated in the first place.
