He added that he had not intended to deny all the noble deeds of doctors, nurses and avant-garde, including the director general of Health.

“I only intended to discuss the issue of Covid-19 that people are concerned about so that (efforts to curb it) can be carried out more effectively. I don’t want the honorable Dewan Rakyat’s proceedings to be disturbed by me. guilt”. “Tiong said in his statement.

The apology came after four days of intense pressure on Tiong to apologize to Dr. Noor Hisham from both ruling MPs and the opposition.

However, Tiong had initially insisted that he had said nothing wrong.

On November 11, the chairman of the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party said in the Dewan Rakyat that Dr. Noor Hisham feared for his life from the Covid-19 pandemic.

He had asked why Dr. Noor Hisham did not hit the ground in Sabah when Covid-19 cases were at their highest in the state.

“Why didn’t he go down to the ground? For example, in Kota Kinabalu now the situation is bad. Why didn’t you visit all the hospitals and temporary hospitals?

Dr. Noor Hisham had responded the same day saying that he was not afraid to die and that he had fulfilled his obligations in Sabah.
