Kate Middleton is the one receiving criticism this time, at the hands of devoted fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
After a heartfelt video was posted on Kensington Royal’s Instagram page of Kate Middleton’s Remembrance Day engagement to military families, Sussex fans slammed the Duchess of Cambridge.
Fans took up arms against the future queen consort for the palace’s refusal to comply with Prince Harry’s wish that a crown be placed in his name at the cenotaph.
“Thank you very much and it has been a true honor speaking to all of you. I think I speak for the entire nation when I say how proud they should be of their loved ones and of the sacrifice and bravery they have shown,” Kate had said at the video.
“With sadness I will be thinking of you this difficult week and for many years to come, so thank you very much,” he added.
Following her comments, royal fans criticized her, as one user wrote, “You have a veteran in your immediate family and you couldn’t even put a crown on his name.”
“He has worked a lot on behalf of wounded veterans and yet was stripped of his honorary military titles. I am sure his phone calls were well received by the recipients,” the user added.
“I can’t look at this sister the same way after how she despised Meghan at the last big family event. Girls don’t do that to each other,” added another user.
“Prince Harry is a veteran and you choose to ignore and shame him,” chimed in a third.
