PUTRAJAYA: The government will launch the Illegal Immigrants Recalibration Plan that encompasses two main components: the Return Recalibration Program and the Labor Recalibration Program to be implemented from November 16 to June 30 of next year for illegal immigrants who are in the country.

Interior Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin (pix) said that the Return Recalibration Program allows illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin voluntarily subject to specific stipulated conditions.

The Labor Recalibration Program regularizes illegal immigrants in the country as foreign workers who could be employed by eligible employers subject to strict conditions determined by the government through the Department of Immigration and the Department of Labor of Peninsular Malaysia (JTKSM), he said. .

“We are still freezing new foreign workers in Malaysia and it is still happening.

“The plan is for illegal immigrants in the country who want to work legally and for those who want to return to their countries of origin. We are giving a deadline until June 30 ”, he said when launching today the Plan for the Recalibration of Illegal Immigrants in the Ministry of the Interior.

Hamzah said the plan would be implemented by the Immigration Department with the strategic cooperation of JTKSM and other government agencies without involving the vendor or third party. – Called
