Tottenham fans praise Reguilon as the club rise to the top after West Brom’s 1-0 win

Tottenham Hotspur has become the leader of the Premier League after beating West Bromwich Albion 1-0.

José Mourinho’s team struggled to find their way past a tenacious Albion defense at the Hawthorns, but had Harry Kane to thank for a late header goal.

It was Slaven Bilic’s team that reportedly shadowed the first half, and the Spurs struggled all afternoon to create meaningful opportunities in the Midlands.

Kane, Heung-min Son and Gareth Bale had quiet evenings, but the former once again showed his quality when it mattered.

A victory has brought Spurs to the top, and Liverpool now need to respond later against Manchester City.

West Brom was somewhat unfortunate in losing the game, which could have gone either direction before Kane attacked. The Baggies will certainly be very cheered up by his performance.

Mourinho is likely to have a lot to think about the international break, although he will obviously be euphoric to have won the match.

One man who had another good game for the Spurs was Sergio Reguilón.

The Spanish full-back continued his great start in life at Spurs after his summer signing from Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old, who cost £ 27m (Independent), was in high spirits on Tottenham’s left and was trying to make things happen, with a couple of shots in the second half.

He was a bright spark for visitors, and fans made sure to recognize his contributions on social media.
