The assignment of opposition deputies will ‘kill’ BN – Tajuddin
We are ordinary: Please tell us, the rakyat, who are voters and taxpayers, how would the allocations to opposition MPs kill BN?
Umno high council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said: “Before, when they (Pakatan Harapan) ruled, they didn’t give it to us either.”
Yes, it was a mistake of the Pakatan Harapan government, as it did not assign the same allocation to all deputies. By correcting that mistake and assigning the same allowance to all MPs, the rakyat will be more grateful.
Mind you, Tajuddin, all Malaysians, regardless of political affiliation, should be treated equally. Didn’t the prime minister say that he is the prime minister of all Malaysians?
A voter could have voted for the candidate of the ruling party, but the winning deputy is from the opposition. Are you saying that this voter should be punished?
Anonymous Who: That is a super stupid statement. If Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin does not allocate funds to opposition parties, how does he show his leadership to the people? How to express your kindness to voters and win their votes.
Muhyiddin kept telling people that he was concerned for their well-being, but no help was provided to those in the region of the opposition parties. People are suffering!
You can only think about being selfish and politicking. Stupid is how stupid you do it. These stupid politicians can make people throw up. Go away and stop showing us your faces.
Jetson: Killing the DAP, killing Umno or killing any political party is all these politicians can think of.
They are only concerned with their own interest and survival. What about the people who pay taxes, whether they are from opposition constituencies or not?
By taxing opposition voters, these politicians are not complaining, but by spending in opposition constituencies they seem to feel like they are giving it out of their own pocket.
The public needs the funds, especially in these difficult times. There are many poor voters in opposition areas who also need help. At the same time, there are many voters who faithfully pay their taxes even if they are on the side of the opposition.
Politicians should think about the nation and its progress as a whole, and not just think about their own interests.
MW: Tajuddin, it is interesting that I speak on behalf of BN and not Perikatan Nasional (PN). So the comparison should be between the governments of BN and Pakatan Harapan.
While Harapan backtracked on his general election promise and only gave RM100,000 per year to opposition deputies, that’s RM100,000 more than what the opposition received in its entire existence from BN’s Merdeka.
If Harapan got a “C” here, you get a “Z-“.
TheSpeakingOwl: To be fair, it is a well deserved slap to Harapan for not doing it at the time. Now they try their own medicine.
However, PN, this is your chance to prove that you are better than them. Sadly, you failed and cut yourself just as low. Remember it is the rakyat money, not yours.
Itslengry02: It’s not about “killing” BN or anything like that. This is the allowance for parliamentarians to help people in their area.
Why is this thing killing your party? Right now, it’s about rakyat, not parties. Is it because the money is used to finance your party? No!
Government funds are not for your party, they are for everyone.
Oxymoronic trends: Basically, the government is saying, “If you don’t vote for me, we are not your government.” It’s such a damning thing to say. And to say that allowing all districts to have the same allocations “will kill BN” is equally damning.
So the clear message is “not everyone is the same”, especially in BN’s eyes. Not only do we have gerrymandering, without which BN will die, but now we find that the elected deputies of the BN are so unstable that they only stick with BN to get a larger electoral allocation.
Fair man: Tajuddin, the money in the national budget comes from the taxpayers. It is not from the private pockets of BN, PN or PAS. You may have a problem with Harapan but not extend it to the people who support the country by paying taxes.
For Muhyiddin and Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, just hand over RM3 million each to the 222 federal seats.
I think BN can leave the government. After all, you didn’t get the mandate from the people. This is the “no class” policy deployed by brainless BN MPs.
One: Amazing! Is this an admission that BN only survives thanks to monetary policy? If money is not abused, why would he kill BN?
Another way of looking at it is that BN has no ideas to improve policies. Therefore, they survive by distributing money. And they fear that when the money allocation is equal, nowhere are they as good as the opposition.
Well that’s fantastic: It is not their money to give, do these BN politicians understand that the opposition parliamentarians also serve the people and are part of the government?
Do they want to be treated fairly when they are not in power? When did the Treasury belong to politicians anyway? Isn’t that why former Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife are now in court?
Anon 93751028: The superficiality of our deputies is truly surprising. They fight like spoiled children on a playground where there is no discipline, little real teaching, and no incentive to improve their behavior or knowledge.
Hrrmph: Over and over again, BN shows that the only thing they care about is themselves, their party, their position, their power. Even our hard-earned money is for them to use as they please.
What does it matter to them that equitable allocation means that all rakyat will benefit? It was never about us.
