Rapper Kanye West voted on November 3 for himself as the next president of the United States after a risky campaign marked by erratic statements and speculation that he could siphon some black votes from Democrat Joe Biden.

The singer and fashion designer tweeted that he was “voting for the first time in my life for the president of the United States, and it’s for someone I really trust … me.”

He later posted a video of himself casting his vote in Cody, Wyoming, where he entered the ballot.

West, 43, made the presidential ballot in a handful of states, though not on battlefields like Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

He has spent the last few weeks instructing his supporters on how to vote for him as a written candidate elsewhere.

West’s famous wife, Kim Kardashian, did not appear to support his offer. She has not publicly endorsed her husband and on November 3, she retweeted a message about the voter hotlines for Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

West, once one of Trump’s most famous supporters, launched his campaign for the White House in July with erratic statements that raised concerns for his mental health.

The 21 Grammy Award winner said in 2018 that he suffers from bipolar disorder. West loaned $ 6.7 million (RM27.9 million) for his campaign, according to a file from the Federal Election Commission, and in a recent video he emphasized religion and family values.
