Guan Eng proposes a unit budget with a virus shield of RM31 billion

Former finance minister Lim Guan Eng today proposed a “unit budget” with a Covid-19 shield of RM31.4 billion to save jobs and livelihoods as the pandemic threatens commerce and industry.
Lim said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should initiate a consultation process with the opposition for a unitary budget before presenting the Perikatan Nasional government’s inaugural spending plan on November 6.
