Samsung Malaysia has announced that the LTE variant of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) will be available locally soon. The original version of the phone was launched in the country in early October 2020.

This model of the Galaxy S20 FE is naturally cheaper than the original due to the lack of 5G support. While most of the phone, from its screen, battery and camera setup, is similar, the LTE variant is based on Samsung’s Exynos 990 chipset rather than a Snapdragon 865 – the company did not specify its RAM and storage settings. , but the new model is expected to feature up to 8GB and 256GB respectively, depending on GSMArena.

As mentioned above, most of the phone’s specifications are the same as the 5G-enabled model. In short, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD display with a default refresh rate of 120Hz. It is equipped with a 4500mAh battery with 25W USB-C fast charging support, 15W wirelessly and 4.5W reverse charging.

On the back of the phone is a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and 8MP telephoto sensor with 3X optical and 30X digital zoom capabilities. On its front screen is a single-hole punched camera cutout that houses a 32MP selfie camera.

Other features include NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, AKG-tuned stereo speakers, One UI 2.5 (based on Android 10), and the phone itself is waterproof with an IP68 rating. The new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE will be available in three colors: Cloud Lavender, Cloud Orange and Cloud Red.

The Galaxy S20 FE LTE will retail for RM2,699 and Samsung Malaysia is expected to announce its local availability soon. For reference, the 5G-enabled model is priced at RM3,399 and is in stores across the country.
