In a statement on Wednesday (October 28), the Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said that the King declared that the 2021 Budget must be approved for the good of the people and to help the recovery of the economy devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

He further said that the King said this after an audience with Muhyiddin at a pre-cabinet meeting in Istana Negara earlier today (October 28).

Ahmad Fadil also said that in the meeting of more than an hour with Muhyiddin, Sultan Abdullah was briefed on the 2021 budget, which will be presented in Parliament on November 6.

The King expressed his hopes that the 2021 Budget will emphasize the economic recovery and the well-being and sustainability of the livelihoods of people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
