TPC Golf Club, condominium in Brickfields registers cases of Covid-19

A member who visited the TPC golf club in Kuala Lumpur yesterday has tested positive.

PETALING JAYA: The TPC Golf Club Kuala Lumpur and a condominium in Brickfields today announced positive cases of Covid-19 at their facilities.

A member who visited the club yesterday tested positive for Covid-19, TPC Golf Club said in a notice on its Facebook page. The club will be temporarily closed from today until further notice.

Meanwhile, a tenant at the Menara Pelangi condo in Brickfields tested positive and is currently being treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital, according to a message from the condo management.

The man works as a cleaner at the Cardio Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur Hospital (CVSKL).

Two weeks ago, three employees and a former patient at CVSKL hospital tested positive, and the Health Ministry called it the Sentral Cluster.

Four of the man’s colleagues, who are staying with him, were examined this morning at the Tanglin health clinic and are currently in home quarantine at their unit in Menara Pelangi Block A, with the next test due to take place in 13 days. .

Management said they had disinfected the main entrance, Block A and other common areas. The management also said that the Ministry of Health will disinfect the affected unit today.

Meanwhile, in Penang, Queensbay Mall confirmed that the Health Ministry ordered the closure of one of its tenants, the TGI Fridays restaurant, after a customer tested positive.

Queensbay Mall remains open as usual.
