Umno President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi did not join because he was reportedly unwell.

Meanwhile, MPs from Barisan Nasional (BN) held a separate meeting at the Putra World Trade Center this afternoon.

The meeting was called after Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah’s decision yesterday that it was not necessary to declare a state of emergency, having received such a proposal from Muhyiddin last Friday.

It is also understood that the Supreme Council of Umno is planning to hold another meeting tonight to discuss current political events.
