The new Korean drama that combines science, fantasy, romance and mystery in one story: The King: Eternal Monarch – it has been receiving some attention due to the fact that it is located in two parallel universes.

At the center of the series is Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min-ho), who rules the Kingdom of Korea, and police detective Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go-eun), who lives in another universe, which is similar to the current one. Korea.

One day, a door opens and Lee Gon crosses to reach the world of Tae-eul. As a man obsessed with math and science, he discovered where he is pretty fast.

His suspicion of a parallel universe is further confirmed when he encounters the carbon copy of his personal guard (Woo Do-hwan) in this otherworld, who works at the police station where Tae-eul is.

During a video conference from Seoul, South Korea, Woo, Jung Eun-chae, and Kim Kyun-nam, who have supporting roles in the series, were asked if they believe in parallel worlds. Here is what they said.

Woo Do-hwan

Well, I don’t think the existence of a parallel universe is good news.

If there is a parallel universe, it would do one of two things.

First, I would pretend it doesn’t exist and go on with my life.

Or second, if someone around me wanted to take me to the parallel universe, I would join this person, I would go to the parallel universe and try to find the other version of me there.

But this also scares me. If this other me is living a better life than me, or a life worse than me, I would be overwhelmed with so many different emotions.

For me, accepting that there is a parallel universe is a terrifying prospect.

Jung Eun-chae

I personally do not believe in the existence of a parallel universe, but I did imagine what it would be like if there were a parallel universe.

I thought about what it would be like to have a different world that is, you know, different from the world that I’m living in. And where there is a second version of Jung Eun-chae.

I think it would be pretty scary.

Kim Kyung-nam

I personally do not believe in the existence of a parallel world either.

But I also imagined it. I mean, during filming I imagined myself about another world like ours.

And if there is a different version of me in a different world, then it would be quite fun. In fact, you could hang out with him and see what his lifestyle is like.

If your lifestyle is okay, I would suggest that we change places for a few days and try each other’s lives.
