Stick to CMCO SOP when waiting outside of Istana Negara

KUALA LUMPUR: Staff from media organizations and related agencies that will be present outside the Istana Negara complex today are reminded to adhere to the Conditional Motion Control Order (CMCO) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said the My Sejahtera registration system would be introduced and that everyone must wear face masks, check their body temperature and register at the counters provided.

“They will be allowed to enter a special area where physical distancing is imposed,” he said today in a statement.

He stressed that media personnel cannot move or be on the road to avoid traffic congestion.

Zairulnizam also advised members of the public who are not involved to avoid gathering outside the Istana Negara grounds.

He said that those who do not comply with the established SOPs will be immediately aggravated under Regulation 11 of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (Measures within Infected Local Areas) Regulations of 2020, while provocation from any party it would act accordingly.
