PETALING JAYA: People should remain calm, be patient and not panic in the current situation as the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic continues, says Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah .

The Comptroller of the Royal House of Istana Negara Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said that the King also asked everyone not to speculate on his decision regarding the proposals presented by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The prime minister and senior officials of his administration received an audience with the king at Istana Abdul Aziz in Kuantan on Friday evening after a special cabinet meeting in Putrajaya that same day.

“At the hour and a half meeting, the proposals that were decided at the special Cabinet meeting were presented to Sultan Abdullah for his consideration and for his consent to the implementation (of those proposals),” Ahmad Fadil said in a statement. from yesterday.

He said that after the meeting, Sultan Abdullah decided to hold a meeting with the Malaysian rulers in Istana Negara to discuss and analyze the proposals put forward by Muhyiddin.

“Therefore, Sultan Abdullah advises people to remain calm, not to panic, and to be patient in the current situation while waiting for a decision.

“Everyone is also advised not to make any speculation that may cause confusion and concern which in turn will threaten the peace of our beloved country,” he added.

He said that in view of the continued increase in Covid-19 cases and new clusters, the King had repeated his call for everyone to play their part in observing the standard operating procedure established by the authorities.
