Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, announcing the CMCO in his special message on Friday, was aware of the risk that the Covid-19 case would escalate and urged all parties to comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Remember that the existing Movement Control Order (MCO) directives are still in force despite the introduction of the CMCO tomorrow.
According to Chief Minister (Security Group) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Act 1988 (Act 342) entered into force throughout the MCO period from March 18 and measures would be taken against those they did not follow the rules. – Bernama
