Huawei has officially launched the latest entry to its Mate series of flagship smartphones. These consist of three different models: Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus.

All three in the Mate 40 series are equipped with the 5G-enabled Kirin 9000 chipset, Huawei’s EMUI 11 operating system which is based on Android 10, and an enhanced dual stereo speaker system with 150% louder bass output. While different in sizes, the trio has a similar design language with curved 88-degree OLED displays and a halo-like rear camera design dubbed “Space Ring” by Huawei. In terms of memory configurations, both the Huawei Mate 40 and its Pro variant feature 8GB of RAM, while the Pro Plus comes with 12GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the three devices have an internal storage capacity of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB respectively.
The standard version of the Huawei Mate 40 comes with a 6.5-inch screen with a single hole punched in its upper left corner, while both the Pro and Pro Plus have a 6.76-inch screen with a pill-shaped dual camera cutout. . instead.
