PUTRAJAYA: The government strongly recommends that red zone employees who must work in the office undergo swab testing for Covid-19, although the government does not make it mandatory.

Chief Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this is to ensure that those in the office are Covid-19 free.

“The swab tests are highly recommended so that infections can be detected early and prevent the appearance of new clusters in the workplace.

“Our advice is to do this so that the health status of workers can be determined to prevent them from endangering their families and co-workers,” he said at his regular briefing here on Wednesday (October 21).
