PETALING JAYA: Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr. Noraini Ahmad has extended his sincere congratulations to Malaysian-born fashion designer Datuk Rizalman Ibrahim on his appointment as the newest board member of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
“Based on my experience, I am confident that Rizalman will be able to contribute his experience and devotion, especially in the field of entrepreneurship,” read Noraini’s posts on social media on Twitter and Facebook.
They have both earned thousands of likes and hundreds of shares since they were posted on Friday (October 16) night.
UiTM also congratulated the appointment of its former student on its official Facebook page.
“Congratulations, Rizalman on his appointment as a UiTM board member to the chairman of the board, board members, and the university’s executive leadership.”
Support on social media has been pouring in for Rizalman, who graduated from UiTM with a degree in Art and Design (Fashion Design), and most of the commenters on Noraini’s Facebook post say that he is “the best option”.
They said this and added that Rizalman was a college graduate who has had a successful career as a fashion designer, interior designer, event manager, wedding planner, and television personality.
