PETALING JAYA: All Tropicana Golf and Country Resort workers living at the lodge have been screened for Covid-19, police say.

“As of now, the 507 workers have been evaluated and we are awaiting their results. We have 207 positive cases in Petaling Jaya. It is quite alarming.

“For the people here, keep your discipline and stay home. If you really need to leave, please do so and come back immediately, ”Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, communication assistant for Petaling Jaya OCPD, told reporters in front of the workers’ shelter yesterday.

So far, 26 positive cases have been linked to the shelter.

On the current situation in the district, he said that the places of concern were Damansara and Kota Damansara.

ACP Nik Ezanee said the number of cars on the roads decreased since the start of the conditional motion control order, adding that this showed compliance here was high.

“Even during busy periods, there are fewer cars. This is a good indicator that shows that the people here are doing their part in adhering to the SOP (standard operating procedure), ”he said, urging the public to go out only for important business.
