PUTRAJAYA: Those who live in areas under a conditional movement control order (MCO) can travel within the district, but must limit themselves to going to work, picking up food and other essential items, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Chief Minister explained in his daily “live” Facebook updates that while the public was no longer restricted to the 10km radius travel limit implemented during the early days of conditional OLS, this does not mean that they should go out for social purposes. and leisure.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Sabah have all been placed under the conditional MCO in light of an increase in Covid-19 cases.

Kuala Lumpur, Ismail Sabri said, is considered as a district and those in Cheras, for example, can travel to Bukit Bintang.

For the purpose of the conditional MCO, the definition of district is as an administrative district and not as defined in police or health districts.

“We would like to assure the public that we have a sufficient supply of food and that it is readily available. There is no need for panic buying even in conditional MCO areas, ”he said.

He said those from other states who have to make a trip that requires them to go through Selangor, KL and Putrajaya can download the application form from the police official Facebook or at the police stations.

After downloading the form and filling it in, those who need to make the journey can go to the nearest police station to get the letter’s signature and stamp.

“These letters can be used when going over obstacles. However, I would like to remind the public to only make the trip for urgent matters, ”he said.

The minister also called on employers to allow their red zone staff to work from home, noting that this should be done to limit the movement of people from these zones to other areas.

The government also announced that Labuan will be placed under conditional MCO from tomorrow and activities in the economic, business and industrial sectors will be allowed with SOPs to follow.
