JOHOR BARU: The police turned over investigative documents on the fatal traffic accident that resulted in the death of a Navy officer to the state’s Office of Legal Counsel.

Johor Police Chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the investigative documents were delivered to the office in Kota Iskandar around 9 a.m. on Tuesday (October 13).

“The police briefed the office on our investigations into the case.

“The investigation papers will then be sent to the Attorney General’s Office to decide the next step of action in the case,” he said.

On Saturday (October 10), it was reported that a 31-year-old man died at the scene after a car collided with his vehicle at a traffic light at KM4 of Jalan Johor Baru-Kota Tinggi near Pelangi Square here.

Police then arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old woman, who tested positive for drugs.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to turn turtle and damage another vehicle, whose driver was also injured.
