KOTA KINABALU: Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) Sabah has been criticized for distorting, misleading, misleading and lying to the people of Sabah.

According to the head of the Warisan Kota Kinabalu branch, Samuel Wong, these characteristics had been established by the recent statement of the Tandek STAR Sabah Deputy Head of Division, Jovillis Majami.

He argued that by arrogantly dismissing and misrepresenting the essence of PAS’s appointment, STAR had insulted the intelligence of the Sabahans.

“STAR has done a great injustice to the Sabah Indigenous People (OAS), particularly the KDM.

“Days before the announcement of the nominated assemblymen, its president Jeffrey Kitingan vehemently denied that PAS was appointed as one of the six nominated assemblymen.

“He even labeled the rumor as fake news. But when the news came true, its president quickly changed his tone and said it was just a minor issue, “he said yesterday in a statement.

Samuel asked STAR how the PAS appointment was less of an issue.

“Why is the appointment of PAS a small problem? Is accusing that the Holy Bible is distorted less of a problem? Is making a police report against the Christmas celebration less of a problem?

“How is closing an eye on a known extremist party less of a problem? How is allowing an extremist party to destroy harmony in Sabah a small problem? How can STAR be the savior of the OAS when it endorses the entry of the PAS into the state administration?

“Will Jovillis and STAR be held accountable if there are elements of threat to religious freedom issues in Sabah? Did STAR finally bow to pressure from KL and ‘bow’ to demands from Malaysian parties? “

Samuel said that Jovillis must be corrected and STAR must be reminded that a total rejection of PAS in the state administration is what the Sabahans really want.

“They should be reminded that the purpose of totally rejecting the PAS is to preserve the harmonious multicultural, multiracial and multireligious landscape of Sabah.

“They should ask themselves if they are morally correct for not opposing this appointment,” he stressed.

He also said that Jovillis and STAR owe the people of Sabah a huge apology for betraying Sabahans by endorsing this controversial appointment.

“If STAR really fights for the OAS / KDM, think deeply in your heart, do what is morally and ethically correct, with good principles and values. Do not defend your own interests instead of fighting and defending the rights of Sabahans, especially those of the OAS / KDM ”.
