Covid-19: No New Positive Cases Recorded in Sarawak Today, Lawas Goes ‘Green’ Again

KUCHING (October 11): Today there were no new cases of Covid-19 in the state, which makes the cumulative total of cases remain at 751, revealed the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

Meanwhile, Lawas returned to a green zone today after no new local Covid-19 broadcasts were detected or reported in the past 14 days.

This leaves the districts of Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Lubok Antu as yellow zones, with a total of 12 cases of local transmission reported.

Currently, the total number of green areas in Sarawak is 36, SDMC said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, SDMC said no new recovery or discharge cases were reported today, bringing the total cumulative count of recoveries and discharged cases to 685, or 91.21 percent of total cases.

To date, there are 47 patients treated and isolated in hospitals across the state, of which 28 are treated at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Miri Hospital (8), Bintulu Hospital (7), and Sibu Hospital (4).

In People Under Investigation (PUI) cases, two new cases were reported today and neither was waiting for the test results.

No deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 19.
