PETALING JAYA: The Objective Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) that applies in four districts of Sabah will run until October 25.

Chief Minister (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said TEMCO in Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kunak and Semporna in Sabah, which was scheduled to end on October 12, would be extended for another two weeks due to the increasing number of cases. of Covid-19.

“Based on the decision made by the National Security Council (MKN), the government agreed to extend TEMCO in those districts from midnight on October 13 to October 26,” he said.

Added the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) that applies in Tawau Prison and Taman Ehsan Tawau Prison Rooms, Sabah will also be extended until October 25 due to the increasing number of new Covid-19 cases .

On top of that, the Health Ministry added three new actions aimed at eliminating illegal immigrants.

“These will be enforced starting at midnight tomorrow (October 11), where small boats from the islands to the coast of Sabah or areas to the mainland of Sabah will only be able to buy basic necessities such as food between 6 am and 2 pm, ”he said.

He also said that fishing boats registered under the Department of Fisheries may be at certain docks (subject to the approval of the district police chief) between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Finally, unconventional vessels from Indonesia and the Philippines wishing to barter and transship in Sabah waters will not be allowed to do so.
