COVID-19 | As part of the conditional movement control order (MCO) that will take effect in the Klang sub-district tomorrow, Klang Selatan Police Chief Shamsul Amar Ramli announced a list of roadblocks and closures that will affect travel within of the affected district.
Roadblocks and road closures are as follows:
Bukit Tinggi, Klang you will see barricades at Persiaran Pegaga (in front of Subaidah restaurant) and Jalan Kim Chuan Road (in front of 99 Speedmart). There will also be road closures at Jalan Batu Unjur 9 and the Onking Chain-Store Electricity Store entrance, as well as the Wisfatt Motorcycle Shop entrance.
Taman Sri Andalas, Klang will see a barricade at the intersection of Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, while the roadblocks will be in front of the Ar Rahimiah Mosque, Jalan Sri Siantan, Jalan Sri Siantan 41 and Jalan Sri Damak 53.
“Those who wish to enter and leave the Bukit Tinggi area (specifically Bayu Perdana, Flat Sri Angkasa, Apartment Vista Bayu and Bayu Villa Apartments) and Taman Sri Andalas must obtain a letter of permission from the police.
“Mobile police stations will be operational at both locations and no special permission / permit letter is required to exit or enter other areas in the Klang district until now (subject to current changes),” Shamsul said in a statement this night.
He advised the public to always follow the MCO’s standard operating procedure and reminded them that compound fines will be issued if there is non-compliance.

Earlier today, Chief Minister (security group) Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the conditional MCO applies only to the area within the Klang sub-district and not to other areas such as Port Klang and Kapar.
The Klang sub-district is one of two sub-districts (the other is the Kapar sub-district) that make up the Klang district.
Ismail had said that to ensure that economic activity and the supply of goods are not affected, economic activities could operate as follows:
- Wholesale market from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Regular market from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Farmers Market from 6 am to 12 pm
However, night market operations are not allowed, he added.
Restaurants and food stalls can also be opened, but they are limited from 6 am to 10 pm and can only be purchased in self-service, home delivery and take away.
Public transportation such as buses and taxis, including electronic call services, can operate between 6 am and midnight.
