KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian-born woman and her young son were found dead at their home in Brentford, west London, yesterday.

The London police, who broke into the apartment at 1am, found the boy Kailash Kuha Raj and his mother, Poorna Kaameshwari Sivaraj, 36, dead.

They believe both of them had been dead for some time.

Police also found Poorna’s husband, 42-year-old Kuha Raj Sithamparanathan, with stab wounds and, although doctors treated him on the spot, he died shortly after. He was also born in Malaysia.

His pet cockapoo dog was also found dead.

According to The Sun UK, the police have not ruled out the possibility that it is a murder-suicide case.

The report also said police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

The Sun UK quoted Chief Inspector of Detectives Simon Harding as saying that initial investigations had “established that Poorna and Kailash had not been seen or heard in some time”.

The tabloid also quoted neighbors as saying they could hear the couple arguing in recent months during the shutdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

He quoted a resident, Jamila, as saying that things got really bad between them during the confinement.

“They are one of the few couples with a young child on our block and you could hear each other screaming, sometimes for very long periods.”

Police went to the home after receiving a call from a relative expressing concern for Poorna, who had not been seen since last month.

According to the report: “Then the police broke in at 12:50 am on Tuesday. Kuha is believed to have been fatally injured when officers entered the property. “
