Sime Darby Property HQ closed after staff tested positive for Covid-19

PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property temporarily closed its headquarters in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya for deep cleaning and disinfection after one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

The employee, who had been in the office until last Friday (October 2), is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

All employees at headquarters have been asked to work from home until further notice.

In a statement, Sime Darby Property said it is conducting a detailed contact tracing exercise to identify employees who had been in close contact with the affected person.

Those who have been in close contact with the affected staff member have been advised to immediately quarantine themselves and seek medical assistance if they show any symptoms.

“The health and safety of our employees and shareholders are paramount, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely,” he said.
