KOTA KINABALU: Travelers to Sabah from other states must apply for a special pass from the Sabah state government to enter the state while there is an inter-district travel ban.

The Chief Minister’s Department said applications can be made at https://hednp.sabah.gov.my

“However, exemptions are granted to citizens who are from Sabah, holders of passes issued by the Sabah Immigration Department who are located on the peninsula, Sarawak, Labuan and couples who perform essential services,” the statement said.

On Thursday, Chief Security Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the government would implement an interdistrict travel control in Sabah from October 3-16.
