Free trials for Selangor residents who recently visited Sabah

The free Covid-19 screening is available to Selangor residents who visited Sabah in September.

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor state government is offering free specific tests for Selangor residents with a history of traveling to Sabah between September 20 and 26.

Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said that the test can be performed at all branches of the Selcare Clinic, owned by the state government subsidiary, Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd.

Those requesting the test must present their return flight documents from Sabah, as well as proof of residence (water and electricity bill) in Selangor, it said today in a statement.

He said affected people could go to the clinics starting Sunday (October 4) by referring to the closest clinic locations through the website. https://selcareclinic.com/our-clinics/While special arrangements will be made for screenings to take place in Kuala Selangor district community halls on a date to be decided later.

At the same time, he also announced that restaurants with bars in Selangor could only operate until 11:00 p.m. every day from tomorrow (October 3), while all kinds of nightclubs and bars are still prohibited from operating.

“The state government also does not encourage large conferences or gatherings, and the number of participants allowed does not exceed 250 people at any one time,” he said.

He said the operating hours of the state’s Covid-19 operating room will also be extended to 7 p.m., while the SELangkah (Langkah Masuk Dengan Selamat) online registration system has been updated with new functions.
