KOTA KINABALU: Senior Deputy Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin (pix) has asked those who still blame certain leaders for the recent state election result to end the drama.

The chairman of the Sabah UMNO liaison committee said they should be fair (to the leaders) so as not to weaken the party with their personal agendas.

“Let’s not make things worse by adding salt to the wound,” he said today through the Facebook page of Barisan Nasional (BN).

Bung Mokhtar, referring to the discontent of certain quarters with the election results, also stressed that Sabah UMNO was prepared to move forward and would carry out an autopsy to identify the causes of the defeat of certain seats.

However, the Lamag assemblyman is grateful that BN was still able to win 14 of the 32 contested seats, despite the fact that 70 percent of its candidates are made up of new faces.

Bung Mokhtar said that UMNO Sabah would also make improvements to ensure BN can regain the seats in the upcoming elections. -Called
