PETALING JAYA: A worker at a retail store in Sunway Pyramid Mall here tested positive for Covid-19, and immediate disinfection of the mall was carried out, the mall’s management said today.

The case involves a staff member at the Nike store on the first floor who has a travel history, Sunway Pyramid management said in a statement.

He said that it was an isolated case and that he had been treated immediately after identification, along with the affected tenant, in full compliance with the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health.

“The Ministry of Health has also reached out to those who have had close contact with those affected and have been ordered to perform screening tests and self-quarantine.

The case is well managed and under control, ”said the mall.

He said that deep cleaning, disinfection and sanitation work was carried out in all the facilities and that the frequency of sanitation works would be increased every day.

Sunway Pyramid Mall is located in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, near Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.
