On May 1, Jellyfish Entertainment made a post on VIXX’s official fan cafe to update fans on Hongbin’s future activities and announce legal action against those posting malicious comments.

The agency’s statement comes after a Twitch broadcast by Hongbin on February 29, during which he made some comments about other idol groups. Following the broadcast, both Jellyfish Entertainment and Hongbin apologized.

Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.

We are writing about Hongbin’s future promotions, as well as the steps we are taking against malicious comments about VIXX and the disclosure of false information.

Regarding Hongbin’s future activities, we have decided, after discussions with Hongbin, that Twitch broadcasts will be suspended. Additionally, his celebrity activities will also be suspended for now, and we’ll take time as we get ready so he can see the fans one more time.

Regarding malicious comments towards VIXX, including sexual harassment, false information disclosure, personal attacks and defamation, we have continually reviewed the posts and are currently speaking with a law firm about filing a lawsuit.

There will be no leniency against those who have posted or broadcast defamatory comments about our agency’s artists, and we will take all available measures by law.

Thank you to all the fans who love and support VIXX, and we will do our best to protect the rights of our artists.

Thank you.
