KUALA LUMPUR, September 17 – While most superhero fans would go out of their way to dress up as their favorite character, some will go out of their way to bring the fantasy to life.

Like the Vietnamese college student Nguyen Dac Chung who decided to build his own Batmobile after watching the 2008 Batman movie. The dark knight.

The 23-year-old Hanoi resident began working on his own Batmobile design starting last year to bring Bruce Wayne’s iconic journey to life.

Nguyen spent 10 months and more than US $ 21,700 (RM89,983), various media reported.

Powered by four cylinders and a 400cc engine, the fully functioning replica comfortably fits two passengers and measures 3.6 meters long, 2.6 meters wide and 1.5 meters high.

It can also travel on a straight road at a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour and has gull-wing doors.

“I was so impressed with the car and I fell in love with it the first time it appeared in the movie,” he said. Vice.

But building his own Batmobile was not easy, as Nguyen had to import parts from the United States and South Korea before he could put the vehicle together.

“I had to rebuild the 3D part of the car and then separate the parts from the kit to assemble the exterior to make the frame and power lines, install the tire parts and the car details,” he said.

Although he wanted to give up many times, he went ahead and said he was happy with his car project.

He is also pleased that the eye-catching car has attracted attention in Hanoi and has received wide media coverage.

Nguyen, an entrepreneur who runs a cosplay production company, is still working on the interior design of the car and its headlights.
