PN Secretary General Hamzah Zainudin says the coalition was registered as a partnership on August 7.

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional has criticized those who continued to question the registration status of the coalition. PN Secretary General Hamzah Zainudin said the questions arose out of desperation as Sabah’s state elections approach.

Hamzah said that those who still question PN’s official status feel threatened as the coalition is receiving acceptance from the people.

The Registrar of Companies confirmed today that Perikatan Nasional had registered on August 7 and described as unsubstantiated allegations that there was no registration of PN as a registered party.

The announcement came after the PKR’s chief of information, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, challenged the PN leader, Muhyiddin Yassin, to show evidence of the coalition’s status, as no details could be found on the RoS website. .

Hamzah said the registration was approved on August 7 and that the Election Commission also approved the registration of the PN logo to be used on the ballot papers. All PN candidates had been declared eligible to compete under the PN logo on the day of the nomination on Saturday.
