PETALING JAYA: Bung Moktar Radin, who leads the Barisan Nasional electoral machine in upcoming Sabah polls, said that former chief minister of the state, Musa Aman, is not on the coalition’s candidate list for the elections.

The Sabah Umno chief said no discussions took place regarding Musa’s presence in Sungai Manila, as the latter had hinted at earlier today, Astro Awani reported.

“His name is not on the Barisan Nasional candidate list that will be released tomorrow,” he was quoted by the portal.

BN is expected to present its candidates to the polls tomorrow at 10 am.

Musa tonight sparked speculation about where he might be in the next state election in a Facebook post.

Musa, head of Sungai Sibuga headquarters in Sandakan, wrote: “I will return to Sungai Manila.”

Many social media users took it as a sign that Musa, who is Sabah’s longest-serving prime minister, will contest Sungai Manila’s post in Libaran.

Nominations for the Sabah elections will take place on Saturday and the elections will take place on September 26.
