NAJIB Razak betrayed the country when he abused his power to divert RM42 million to his personal account at SRC International, making him the first former prime minister charged and convicted in Malaysia.
Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali said that Najib’s case was among the worst cases of abuse of power seen in Malaysia and that his sentence should serve as a deterrent for future criminals.
