A viral video of Cristiano Ronaldo recently appeared on Twitter and caught the attention of many netizens, especially in Malaysia. The 22 second clip shows the Portuguese soccer sensation watching the UEFA Nation League game.

Obviously, he is seen without a mask, while others seated around him wore his. A stadium staff approaches him and asks him to put on the mask.

Without hesitation, Ronaldo quickly grabs his mask and puts it on according to standard operating procedures.

Sunday’s game (6 September) was Portugal’s first game in the UEFA Nation League. The Portuguese team achieved a 4-1 victory against Croatia, finalists of the 2018 World Cup. However, Ronaldo, who is the captain of the Portugal team, did not play in the match and was only watching from the spectator seat.

The video that went viral on Twitter also caught the attention of many Malaysians who compared Ronaldo to Malaysian ministers. Some of the tweets were primarily comments about how certain “VIPs” were getting away with not following SOPs.
