Kai Havertz has completed his move to Chelsea and becomes one of the club’s most expensive signings in the process.
The talented 21-year-old midfielder, who has attracted attention at Bayer Leverkusen for the past two seasons, has put his pen to paper with a five-year contract.
Havertz was announced as a Chelsea player on Friday night after receiving permission to complete the transfer of the German national team.
It is Chelsea’s sixth major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.
The deal has cost Chelsea £ 71 million, including add-ons. This makes Havertz Chelsea the second most expensive signing.

The Moroccan winger has the potential to become one of the biggest stars in English football.
9. Andriy Shevchenko (Fee: £ 39.49m)

Kovacic, a great midfielder, should keep his place in Chelsea’s starting lineup during the 2020-21 season.
7. Ben Chilwell (fee: £ 45.18 million)
Rating: N / A
Chilwell has been one of the best left-backs in the Premier League for the past two seasons at Leicester. There is no reason why you can’t take your game to the next level at Chelsea.

Werner scored 34 goals in 45 games for RB Leipzig last season and already opened his account for Chelsea during a preseason friendly against Brighton.

3. Christian Pulisic (fee: £ 57.5 million)
Rating: 8/10
The American was fantastic towards the end of last season and could cement his reputation as one of the best attacking wingers in European football this season.

Rating: 3/10
Morata managed to score just 24 goals in 72 games for Chelsea before returning to Spain in January 2019, signing for Atlético de Madrid.
1. Kepa Arrizabalaga (Fee: £ 72 million)
Rating: 2/10
Lampard wants to replace the Spanish goalkeeper, who endured a difficult second season at Stamford Bridge. The 25-year-old had the worst save percentage of any Premier League goalkeeper during the 2019-20 season and makes too many mistakes.
